Mrs. Davies was born and reared in Pennsylvania and spent most of her adult life in Lorain, Ohio. She lived the past three years in Nevada, and attended the Maranatha Christian Fellowship Church in Nevada. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife and mother and a wonderful cook. She was of Christian spirit, never meeting a stranger and loved children and animals.
Survivors include two sons, Harold W. Davies, Nevada, and James G. Davies, Cumming, Ga.; three sisters, Audrey Lambert, Elaine Hess and Beverly Furniss; one brother Arnold Harker; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Glyndur James "Jimmy" Davies; two sisters, Lily Spiker and Betty Applegate; one brother Leonard Harker and two infant siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at the George E. Mason Funeral Home in Davidsville, Pa., with the Rev. Thomas Kroll officiating. Interment will follow in Custer Community Cemetery in Hollsopple, Pa. Visitation will be held at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Saturday afternoon between 1-3 p.m.
The family will receive friends in Nevada, at Ferry Funeral Home, Thursday evening, April 5, between 6-7 p.m.
