Sharon Ann Coyan, 65, of Uniontown, Kan., died Thursday evening, April 19, 2007, at her home. She was born Aug. 5, 1941, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Glen Lavoyn and Mabel Maxine (Chamberlain) Dickey. She married Thomas Elwood Coyan Dec. 20, 1959, in Fort Scott. They later divorced after 19 years of marriage.

She worked as a Certified Medical Assistant for many years, most recently for Presbyterian Village.

Sharon is survived by her children, Thomas L. Coyan, and Timothy Lee Coyan, both of Uniontown, Nancy Durnal of Fort Scott, and Ginger Maxine Montgomery, of Mission, Kan.; a step-sister, Betty Ruddick; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Rev. Paul Rooks will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home with burial following at the Evergreen Cemetery Memorial Park.
