Earl A. Oyer, 82, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Kansas to Martin and Hazel Oyer. He married Frances L. Dee on Dec. 9, 1950, in Nevada, Mo., and she survives of the home.
Earl was born in Kansas and came to Nevada at a young age with his family. He worked for Double Cola Bottling Plant in Nevada for several years, for Missouri Highway Department and the City of Nevada. Later, he owned and operated the Earl Oyer Disposal Service for many years until his retirement.
Survivors in addition to his wife Frances, include one son, Bobby L. Oyer and his wife Judy, Atchison, Kan.; and two grandsons, Kevin Oyer and Scott Oyer, both of Atchison. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ray Oyer, Frank Oyer and Walter Oyer; and two sisters, Bertha Wallace and Mabel Pippen.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, July 2, at Moore Cemetery, Nevada, with Felix Salazar officiating. Friends may call now and until 10:30 a.m., on Monday at Ferry funeral Home, Nevada.
