Patricia Lou Strafford, 70, El Dorado Springs, passed away on Friday, Aug. 17, at her home in El Dorado Springs. She was born Aug. 3, 1937, in Kansas City, Kan., to Ralph E. Mayden and Irene M. Hatfield Mayden.

Patricia was born in Kansas City, Kan., and graduated from the Parsons High School, Parsons, Kan., in 1955. She came to Richards, Mo., in 1976. Patricia was a homemaker most of her life. She also lived in Nevada and for the past 20 years in rural El Dorado Springs in Vernon County. She was a member of the El Dorado Springs Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include one son, Randall Eugene Dugan and his wife Cheryl, Nevada; two daughters, Pamela Irene Oakley and her husband Raymond, Altamont, Kan., Laurie Ann Selsor, Carthage, Mo.; six grandchildren, Deanna Otter, Monica Smith, Douglas E. Oakley, Daniel E Oakley, Derick E. Oakley and Matthew Selsor; two great grandchildren, Gavin and Nicholus; one brother, Ronald Mayden, Kansas City, Kan., and one sister Barbara Rodriques, Kansas City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her step-parents, Fred and Irene Myers who raised her.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with John Nichols officating. Interment will follow in Richland Cemetery, Richards, Mo. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
