Sisson's pair of score lifts Jayhawks

OSWEGO, Kan. -- Will Sisson scored both of Jayhawk-Linn High School's touchdowns as the Jayhawks burst into the win column this season with a 12-0 shutout over Oswego in Three Rivers League action Friday night.

Sisson scored on a five-yard run in the second quarter and a 44-yard punt return in the third. The Jayhawks, 1-0 in the TRL and 1-1 overall,  rushed for 195 yards as a team.

The Jayhawk defense held Oswego, 0-1, 0-2, to 10 total yards. The Indians had minus-30 yards on 30 rushing attempts.

Jayhawk-Linn hosts Pleasanton in another TRL contest at Mound City, Kan., Friday night. Pleasanton lost to Baxter Springs, 22-21, in overtime at Pleasanton Friday night.
