Timothy and Katherine Franklin

Katherine Ann Maurer, of Wichita, Kan., and Timothy Isaac Franklin of Norwalk, Iowa, were married June 2, 2007, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Wichita. The Rev. Dr. Steven M. Marsh and pastor Robert H. Crain, uncle of the bride, officiated. A reception followed at The Grand Chapel.

The bride is the daughter of John and Jan Maurer of Wichita. The bride's mother is the former Jan Crain, and her grandfather is Robert Crain of Fort Scott. The groom is the son of Gerald and Linda Franklin of Goodland, Kan.

Amy Biggs was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Krisanne Emch, Rhonda Hale, Kate Obermueller, Tara Patty, and Carrie Woods. Attendants were Alison Brown, Courtney Hollingsworth, Victoria Luhrs and Rachel Pettit-Scott.

Kyle Franklin, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Alex Evert, Stephen Maurer, Landon Nelson, Brandon Nemechek, and Joseph Thomas. Ushers were Kyle Johnson, Brian Murphy, Ryan Philbrick and Jeremy Smith.

The bride graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree and from Iowa State University with a master's degree, both in apparel and textile marketing. The groom graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in milling science. He is a team leader with General Mills in DesMoines, Iowa.

The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and will reside in Norwalk, Iowa.
