Cottey presents 'The Learned Ladies'

Tuesday, February 19, 2008

The Cottey College Department of Theatre will present Moliere's "The Learned Ladies" at 8 p.m., on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22 and 23, in the auditorium of the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts.

Moliere's sophisticated and witty play, "The Learned Ladies," is centered on the domestic calamities wrought by a pretentious, domineering woman upon her husband, children, and household.

This college play sparkles with wit, ridicules hypocrisy, and shows that human folly has not diminished in the 300 years since the play was written. The show is directed by Professor Michael Denison.

Tickets are $4 for adults and $3 for those under age 18 or over age 62.

Tickets will be available at the door the night of the show.

The Center for the Arts is located on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada.
