Lola Glendora Tabor

Lola Glendora Tabor, 100, of Nevada, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada, following an illness of several weeks. She was born Jan. 20, 1908, in El Reno, Okla., to Jess William Gann and Maude Dalton Shira Gann. She was married Sept. 14, 1928, in Kansas City, Mo., to Warfel Ray "Whitie" Tabor and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Tabor was born and reared in El Reno, Okla. She attended business college as a young women, in Springfield, Mo., and worked for a time for National Bella Hess, in Kansas City. She and her husband came to the Walker area in the late 1940s and farmed for many years. She lived in Nevada for the past 40 years and was a member of the Milo Baptist Church, in Milo, Mo.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of friends. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 25, at El Dorado Springs City Cemetery, in El Dorado Springs, with the Rev. David Rorabaugh officiating.

Friends may call now and until 9 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 25, at Ferry Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Milo Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
