Eric and Bouaphanh (Boo) Smith, of Kansas City, Kan., are proud to announce the birth of their son, Evan Leon Smith. Evan was born at 8:52 p.m., on April 26, 2008, at Overland Park regional. He weighed 1 pound, 8 ounces and measured 11 inches.

Maternal grandparents are Phoo Phongsavath, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Nouichanh Douangmola, of Fort Smith, Ark.

Paternal grandparents are Kathy and Leon Smith, of Nevada. Paternal great-grandparents are Jack and Carolyn Gordon, of Nevada, and Grace Smith, of Butler, Mo.
