Lois Ann McAfee, 57, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008, at her home in Milo, Mo. She was born June 24, 1950, in Rock Springs, Wyo., to Dale Franklin Divine and Ruth Lavina Young Divine. She married Willy B. McAfee on Nov. 5, 1982, in Miami, Okla., and he survives of the home.
Lois moved to Kansas City at a young age with her family and grew up there. She graduated from Paseo High School in 1968. Lois worked as a computer operator for Standard Oil Company, in Kansas City, Mo., for 10 years. She also was a cook for Raytown Elementary School District for a number of years. Lois and her husband had lived in rural Milo for the past five years.
In addition to her husband survivors include: Three children, Daniel Kirkpatrick, of Humansville, Mo., Sharon Hensley, of Raytown, Mo., and Stephanie Kirkpatrick, of Chicago, Ill.; two grandchildren, Andrew Quinn and Charles Hensely, both of Raytown; one brother, Steve Divine, of the state of Arkansas; one sister, Beverly Baker, of Independence, Mo., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Terry Divine.
Family visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., on Saturday, May 24, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Friends may call today and until 2 p.m., on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
