Margaret "Leona" Wilson

Margaret "Leona" Wilson, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2008, at Nevada Regional Medical Center.

Leona was born Sept. 11, 1929, to John W. and Minnie Kay (Garner) Hood. She was born and raised in Rich Hill, Mo. She attended school in Rich Hill and retired from the state hospital in Nevada, after many years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Wilson, one son, William "Bill" Hood, and a son-in-law, Al Mealman.

Her survivors include: her daughter, Cathey Mealman, of Walker; one son, Jimmy Wilson, of the home; and one daughter-in-law, Betty Hood, of Rich Hill; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held today at 10 a.m., at Heuser Funeral Home, in Rich Hill, Mo., with brother Bill Perkey officiating. Pallbearers were: Gary Bloom, Rex Long, Anthony King, Duane Sellers, Dwight Scotten and Tim King.

Interment will follow at the Green Lawn Cemetery, in Rich Hill.
