Carl Miller - Valerie Valencia

She is the daughter of Mary Beth and Vincent Valencia, of St. Joseph. He is the son of Della and Tim Breckenridge, of Nevada, Mo.

The future bride is a 1998 graduate of Central High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in marketing. She is employed by American Family Mutual Insurance Company as a commercial underwriter.

The future groom is a 1998 graduate of Nevada High School, a 2003 graduate of Missouri Southern State University, in Joplin, Mo., with a Bachelor of Science in Education, and a 2006 graduate of William Woods University, in Fulton, Mo., with a Master of Education in Administration. He is employed by the St. Joseph School District as a special education teacher.

The couple's wedding is to be at 2 p.m., Aug. 9, 2008, at Ashland United Methodist Church. A reception will be held at 5 p.m. at United Ballroom. All friends and relatives are welcome.
