Clara Ellen McBride Owens

Clara Ellen McBride Owens, 104, Nevada, passed away on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Moore-Few Care Center, Nevada, Mo. She was born Oct. 18, 1904, in Brown Springs, Mo., to Gideon McBride and Amanda Hale McBride. She married "E.J." Dutch Owens on May 18, 1945, in Oswego, Kan. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1959.

Clara was a long time member of the First Christian Church of Nevada and a lifelong resident of Nevada.

Survivors include several nephews including Richard Shorten, Nevada.

A private committal service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Newton Burial Park, Nevada, with pastor David Rorabaugh officiating. Friends may call now and until 10 a.m., on Wednesday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
