Martha Tywanna Shaw

Martha Tywanna Shaw, 65, of El Dorado Springs, Mo., formerly of Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008. Martha was born on Jan. 5, 1943, the daughter of Jake and Eula Julian Shaw.

Tywanna, as she was known by most friends and family, worked at Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada, for many years as a CNA and then moved on to Key Work Clothes, in Nevada.

She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Chuch, in Nevada, until moving to El Dorado Springs where she attended Union Hall Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were, her parents, Jake and Eula Shaw, and three sisters, Prudy Keith, Viola Marshall, and Betty "Wilma" Tompkins.

Martha Tywanna Shaw is survived by six children and 11 grandchildren: Darla Smith and husband Chris, of Wamego, Kan., and their son Arron; Joyce Keith and husband Fred, of Florence, Mo., and their children Nathan, Brian, and Scott; Donna Shumaker, of El Dorado Springs, and children core and Chad; Gene "Stanley" Shumaker and wife Pam, of El Dorado Springs, and children Dustin and Devin; Gary Shumaker and wifeLana, of Virginia Beach, Va., and son Matthew; Michael Shaw and wife Lynn, of Fort Scott, and children; three great-grandchildren, Isabella and Isaac Hallam, Audrey Hallam, and step-great-grandson Forrest Keith. She is also survived by three brothers, Carl Shaw and wife Aleyne, Sam Shaw, and Bud Shaw; five sisters, Ada Vrbanac, Oma Biggs, Ruby Janes and husband John, Wanda Keith, and Rena Jane Shaw; and many nieces and nephews.

Services for Martha Tywanna Shaw were held on Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Hackleman Chapel with the Rev. Ray Dean Scism officiating. Burial followed in White Hall Cemetery, in El Dorado Springs, Mo., under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were: Cory Hallam, Chad Hallam, Dustin Shumaker, Devin Shumaker, Matthew Shumaker, Jacob Shaw, Sarah Shaw, Brian Keith, Scott Keith, and Arron Smith.
