Warren E. Highley Sr., 50, of Milo, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Cedar County Memorial Hospital, in El Dorado Springs. Warren was born on July 4, 1958, in Nevada, to Orvan E. Highley and Leoti May Miller Highley. On June 17, 1978, he was married to Sonya K. Micklich, in Lamar, and she survives of the home. Warren grew up in Kansas City, Kan., and graudated from the Washington High School in 1976. Warren came back to Nevada in 1977, and has worked for Highley Tire since 1980. Warren was a racing enthusiast and enjoyed racing at the Nevada Speedway.

Survivors in addition to his wife Sonya include: two sons, Warren E. Highley Jr. and his wife Cheyenne, of Montevallo, and Matthew A. Highley and his wife Ashley, of Richards; six grandchildren, Autumn Highley, Jadeann Highley, Kartman Highley, Kanyon Highley, Jannessa Highley, and Kodie Clark; one sister Rosemary Micklich and her husband Robert, of Nevada; a sister-in-law, Dawn Highley, of Kansas City, and several nieces and nephews.

Warren was preceded in death by his father, his mother, Leoti Clark, and one brother Wayne Highley.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with Norman Highley officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery. Friends may call from now and until the hour of service on Wednesday.
