Elizabeth Louise Jones and David Ernest Nuessen were married on Oct. 25, 2008, at the Old Mission United Methodist Church in Fairway, Kan. The Rev. Butch Ritter conducted the service. Libby is the daughter of Dr. Ron and Valo Jones and granddaughter of Dorothy Christensen, of Nevada, Mo. Dave is the son of Dale and Elizabeth Nuessen, of Emporia, Kan.

Given in marriage by her father, Libby wore a white satin V-neck gown with an asymmetrical skirt. Her mother's pearl necklace and bracelet were her only jewelry. She carried a bouquet of roses of various shades of pink. All the flowers in the wedding were designed by her bridal attendant Christy (Seitz) VanGaasbeek, of Olathe, Kan.

Michelle (Malcom) MalcomVetter, of Rolla, Mo., was Libby's matron of honor.

Also serving as bridal attendants were Darci (Arvin) Ashby of Nevada; Laurie (Kerr) Long, of Pittsburg, Kan.; Sarah Reynolds, of Olathe, Kan.; Katie Abendroth, of Overland Park, Kan.; and Michael Cook of West Hollywood, Calif.

Each bridesmaid wore a different style gown of pewter color and carried pink roses.

Dave was attended by Dustin Sumner, of Kansas City; Caleb Karch, of Atlanta; Victor Tran, of Fort Worth; Marion Mariathasan, of Denver; AJ Radampola, of Overland Park, Kan.; Jim Aguirre, of Manhattan, Kan.; and Mike Mahoney, of Overland Park.

Libby's brothers, Sam, Scott, and Dan Jones were the ushers. Laikyn Long and Maddison Ashby served as candlelighters. Angela Jones and Cameron Malcom were readers. Piano selections "The Lord's Prayer" and a Beatles medley were played by Martha Cubbage, Nevada.

The church was decorated with large pink peonies tied with white satin ribbon at the ends of the church pews.

A reception was held at the Union Hill Banquet Hall in Kansas City, with a buffet dinner, cocktails, and dancing. Sweets included a chocolate fountain and a white chocolate ganache wedding cake.

The reception décor was designed by Christy VanGaasbeek. After the traditional toast and cake cutting, the cake, topped with red roses, was served by Joni Pfeifer and Linda Erwin, of Nevada.
