Survivors include his wife, Alona, of the home; a daughter, Mindy Russell and husband, Casey, Fort Scott; and two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Brysen Russell. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Virginia Brown, of Fort Scott, and his step-mother, Hazel Wise, of Bronaugh, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Bernard Brown.
Pastor Phil Wilson will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the First Church of God and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S.
