Charles R. Cates, 75, of Kansas City and Schell City, died on Sunday, May 24, 2009, in Kansas City, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, May 28, 2009, at the Schell City Christian Church, in Schell City. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., prior to the services at the church. Friends may call after 1 p.m., on Wednesday, at the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home, in Schell City.

Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, in Schell City. Memorials are suggested to Schell City Community Betterment in care of the funeral home.
