She was first and foremost God's child. She was a wife, mother, homemaker, church secretary, motel manager, and an elementary school teacher. She was a true Tennessee Volunteer. She was involved in garden clubs and church clubs, and was a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son; Billy Mack Morgan of East Tennessee, and a daughter; Jane Morgan Milburn of Fort Scott; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Erma Thurman; numerous loved nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by Joe Morgan, her parents, two brothers; William Allen Thurman, and Thomas Mack Thurman, and three sisters; Cora Mae Hicks, Cornina McClure, and Sally Rowena Thomas.
According to her wishes, she was cremated. Services will be held at a later date, and interment will be at the Smith-Wilkey Cemetery in Rhea County, Tenn.
