Garton -- 50 years

Bob and Betty Garton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house reception on Sunday afternoon, June 14, 2009, from 2 until 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Nevada United Methodist Church, 500 South College. The couple requests no gift.

Hosts are their sons, Bradley Garton, Vail, Colo., and Dr. Bryan Garton and wife, Debbie, and grandsons Joshua and Logan, Columbia, Mo.

Betty Sue Post and Robert N. Garton were married by the Rev. Brooks Shook at the Bronaugh Methodist Church at 3:30, the afternoon of Sunday, June 14, 1959. They have resided on their farm south of Moundville since their marriage.
