July 17

There was a report of a burglary on the 300 block of east Wight, made by Jerry Williams, of Nevada. He reported a stereo and speakers stolen.

An accident occurred at 5:11 p.m., at 814 N. Tucker, involving a SUV driven by Bobbie J. Hoover, of Sheldon, and a parked car owned by Thomas and Amanda Meyer, of Nevada. No injuries were reported.

July 18

An accident occurred at 11:17 a.m., on Elizabeth and Hunter, involving a SUV driven by Megan F. Hendrix, of Nevada, and a power pole owned by KCP&L. The power pole broke in half and went through the windshield of the vehicle. The broken pole was subsequently pulled off the power boxes to 303 N. Elizabeth and 318 N. Elizabeth, properties owned by Delbert Volkman and Mark Mitchell. Four powerlines were broken along with the transformer on the pole itself. Hendrix was listed with evident, but not disabling injuries.

July 19

An accident occurred at 11:48 a.m., on Lynn and Allison, involving a pickup driven by Harold B. Stevenson, of Nevada, and a car driven by Robert M. Cameron, of Kansas City. No injuries were reported.

An accident occurred at 5:34 p.m., at Fastrip's parking lot, involving a pickup driven by Clarence M. Dozier, of Nevada, and the front entrance of Fastrip. No injuries were reported.
