Hathaway -- 40 years

William Hathaway and Patty Gaston were married on Aug. 23, 1969, at the home of the bride's parents by the Rev. Lloyd Feagins.

The couple have two sons, Willie and wife Crystal, Brandon and wife Kim. They also have three grandchildren: Torrie, Graham and Nick.

A hog roast and reception, open to friends and family, will be held in the Hathaways honor on Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. at the first shelter house at Elm Creek Lake. The couple requests no gifts. The family is asking those who are planning to attend to bring a covered dish and beverage and to RSVP to Brandon at (620) 215-2120 or Willie at (620) 215-5337.
