Terry Wayne Hill, 58, Nevada, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at Medicalodge of Nevada, following a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 1, 1951, in Nevada, to Elmer Daniel Hill and Elizabeth Loretta Hallam Hill. He was married Oct. 8, 1980, in Nevada, to Shirley Hood and she preceded him in death Nov. 3, 2008.
Terry was born and raised in Nevada, and spent virtually his entire life in this area. He attended Nevada schools and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Nevada. He made his living operating a moving service in Nevada. He loved animals, especially his dogs.
Survivors include one step-daughter, Linda Stanhope, Nevada; two brothers, Delmar Hill, Nevada, and Standlee Hill, Milo; one sister, Juanita Bigelow, Keokuk, Iowa; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, Joe Hill and Danny Hill, and one sister, Betty Rackley.
Friends may call now and until 8 p.m., on Thursday and the family will receive friends between 7 and 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 27, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will be in Newton Burial Park in Nevada at a later date.
