Earl Lee Schneider, 81, formerly of Walker, Mo., died on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kan. He was born July 3, 1928, in Hesston, Kan., to Henry W. Schneider and Marie Ratzlaff Schneider. He married Marlene M. Hiebert on Feb. 14, 1952, in Hillsboro, Kan., and she preceded him in death on March 30, 1966. He later married Violet V. Koehn on June 18, 1967, in Montezuma, Kan., and she preceded him in death on Oct. 26, 2008.
Earl was a farmer.
Survivors include one son, Paul Schneider, Walker; three daughters, Margretha Koehn, Nevada, Malinda Schneider, Moundridge, Kan., and Martha Kuder, Belle Plaine, Kan.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Marvin Schneider, Fountain Run, Ky.; and three sisters, Velma Wenger, Walnut Hill, Fla., Evlyn Rutschman, Moundridge, Kan., and Carolyn Regier, Hesston, Kan.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, at the Living Faith Mennonite Church in Walker. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Living Faith Mennonite Church in Walker.
