Edmund Archie Stoddard III

Edmund Archie Stoddard III, age 72 of Bryant, Ark. died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at his home. He was born on April 22, 1937, in Independence, Mo., to his late parents Edmund Archie Stoddard, II and Mildred Leta Reynolds. Edmund was a retired Southern Baptist Minister who pastored in the states of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, and Wyoming and a Revival Evangelist through the NAMB. He also retired from the Arkansas State Hospital Adolescent Unit. Edmund was a public school teacher who also taught at Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge. In addition, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Earline Hallam Stoddard of Bryant; four children, Ellen Boling (Ron) of Newport, Ark.; Andy Stoddard of CHDC of Conway, Ark.; Charles Stoddard (Denise) of Paragould, Ark.; Chad Stoddard (Vicki) of Marked Tree, Ark.; and nine grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one sister, one brother, and one nephew.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., today, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, AR (501) 455-1067 with Reverend Ted Stanton officiating. Entombment will follow at Resthills Memorial Park in North Little Rock. A visitation was held Monday, Nov. 23, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
