El Dorado Springs School Board reportedly votes not to retain Depee

In a closed session following Monday's regular meeting, the El Dorado Springs R-II School Board reportedly voted not to retain head football coach and Athletic Director Chad Depee, according to mosports.com.

Two former coaches, several parents and at least 50 football players packed into the El Dorado Springs High School library and were ultimately heard in an executive session after the regular meeting. School Board President Darrell Eason said that the board would not discuss any of the contents of that executive session for 72 hours.

Depee is the second-winningest coach in the past 40 years at El Dorado Springs and the vote was not reportedly one for immediate termination, but the Board did vote not to renew Depee's employment contract with the school district at the end of the year.
