Christina and Kenny Horning

Christina Elyse Martin and Kenny Leon Horning exchanged wedding vows on the beautiful landscape of Linganore Winery in Mt. Airy, Maryland, on Nov. 1, 2009.

The 1 p.m. ceremony was officiated by pastor Brent Rawson, amid floral decorations of chocolate brown, ivory hydrangea, and burnt orange rose petals. A wedding reception followed in the Abisso Room in Mt. Airy where the guests were treated to wine, appetizers, and a family-style country dinner.

The bride is the daughter of Charles Martin Jr., of Baltimore, Md., and Anne Presuel, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She is the granddaughter of Dick and Mariann Martin, of Titusville, Fla., Irene Stewart, of McMinnville Ore., and Ron Holland, of Stafford, Va.

The groom is the son of Kenneth Louis Horning and the late Norma Jean Horning, of Nevada, Mo. He is the grandson of the late John and Dolly Horning and the late John and Rudy Hutchinson, both of El Dorado Springs, Mo.

Cheryl Martin, sister-in-law of the bride, attended the bride as the maid of honor. Mike Baird, best friend of the groom, attended as best man. The flower girl was Lucy Martin and the ring bearer Nathan Martin, niece and nephew of the bride. During the ceremony, a poem was read by David Martin, uncle of the bride.

The bride is a 2009 graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. The groom is a 2001 graduate of Missouri Southern State University with a bachelor's in general studies, and a 2004 graduate of University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Master of Fine Arts in Technical Direction. The couple are making their home in Fredericksburg, Va., where the groom is the Scene Shop Foreman for the University of Mary Washington.
