Richard Clinton Stoller Jr., of Nevada, Mo., passed away Tuesday Jan. 19, 2010, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, Nevada. He was born Oct. 24, 1947, in Kewanee, Ill., to Richard Clinton Stoller Sr. and Mary Frances Cecilia (Ernst) Stoller, both of whom preceded him in death. He had four siblings, Kenneth Ray Stoller, Ronald Joseph Stoller, Margaret Curtis, and the late Larry Stoller.

Richard married Kathleen Mae (Purvis) Stoller on Feb. 17, 1968. They had three children, Jodi Ellen (Stoller) Ballenger, Matthew Lee Stoller, and Heather Renee (Stoller) Burns. He also had four grandchildren, Wessley Logan Burns, McKenzie Jade Burns, Dylan Alexander Stoller, and Christian Montegomery Stoller.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, being both drafted and enlisted in 1966. He was a member of the 545th Ordnance Company, serving tours in Vietnam and Germany. He received an honorable discharge on Dec. 6, 1972.

While living in Nevada, Richard worked for Thorpe's Appliance in Nevada, and later for O'Sullivan's in Lamar.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. A private service is being planned for a later date.
