David E. Schulze

David E. Shulze, 73, Nevada, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 23, 1937, in Nevada, to Albert Lee Schulze and Balzoria I. Reynolds Schulze. He was married Sept. 2, 1961, in Arcadia, Kan., to Dorothy M. Prettyman, and she survives of the home.

David grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1955. He spent his entire life as an automobile mechanic, continuing the family ownership of Shulze's Garage in Nevada. David loved building and racing stock cars, and also building and flying remote control airplanes.

In addition to his wife, Dorothy, survivors include five sons, Charles Shulze and his wife, Donna, Bronaugh, Mo., Ron Schulze and his wife, Ranea, Nevada, Rick Schulze, Nevada, Scott Schulze and his wife, Kerri, Nevada, and Kerry Schulze and his wife, Camie, Moundville, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Shari Schulze, Mark Schulze, Christopher Schulze, Kyle Schulze, Cory Schulze, Jodi Schulze, Justin Schulze and his wife, Tori, Kelsey Schulze, Carly Shulze, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Bud Schulze and one granddaughter, Krista.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery in Nevada.
