Lowell grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1960. He worked for Producers Grain in Nevada for more than 20 years. He later worked for Thorco in Lamar for seven years, until his retirement. He also farmed and raised cattle most of his life. Lowell was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Nevada.
Survivors in addition to his wife Donna include one son, Lowell W. Hulse Jr. and his wife, Lisa, Bronaugh; one daughter, Nora Lorenda Carlson and her husband, Scott, Independence, Mo.; four grandchildren, Sean Carlson, Jennifer Carlson, Christopher Hulse and Kayley Hulse; two brothers, Harold Hulse and his wife, Florence, Independence, Mo., and Edward Hulse and his wife, Lynn, Stephenville, Texas; several nieces and nephews, and his mother-in-law, Helen Burris, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Glenda Reedy.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 1, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Norman Highley officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 7-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 30, at the funeral home.
