Harold (Hank) Eugene Winters

Harold (Hank) Eugene Winters, 76, a former resident of Vernon County, the Nevada and Walker areas, passed away at his home in Bowie, Texas, Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010. He was born Feb. 24, 1934, to Rex E. and Lizzie (Nichols) Winters. He attended Walker School, graduating in 1952.

He is survived of the home by his wife, Terry. Together they have nine children, Chris Winters and wife, Susan, Belton, Mo., Yvonne Holmes, Carthage, Mo., Juanita Maus, Schell City, Mo., Dawn Winters, Independence, Kan.; four stepchildren, Doug Stack, Loretta Johnston, Gail Allen and Glenda Terry, all of the Bowie, Texas, area. Harold and Terry have 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Viola Pritchard, Phoenix, Ariz., and twin sister Barbara Duty and husband, Hoyt, Camdenton, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, John, Lynn and Charles Winters, Winiford Warmbir and Eddie Lee Bruner; and son-in-law, Daniel Maus.

Memorial services will be at Click Cemetery, Nevada, Saturday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m.
