Gerald Eugene Moore, 77, Moundville, Mo., passed away on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at Via Christi Health System, Pittsburg, Kan. He was born May 19, 1933, in Nevada, Mo., to Harold Nester Moore and Bonnie Alma Roberts Moore. He married Martha Lee Key on Nov. 17, 1956, in Nevada, and she survives of the home.
Gerald attended Walker and Bronaugh Schools. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954 on the U.S.S. Lofberg during the Korean War. He worked at the tent factory, and also the Fram Corporation in Nevada until his retirement in 1998.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Martha, include five children, Dale Moore and his wife, Tina, Charlotte, Fla., Gerald Moore and his wife, Joanie, Bronaugh, Mo., LeAndra Overton, Moundville, Gregg Moore, Moundville, and Kristina Martin and her husband, Lonnie, Pleasanton, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, with three on the way; and one sister, Shirley Culbertson and her husband, Richard, Arcadia, Kan. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, David Moore.
