Billy Dean Scotten II

Billy Dean Scotten II, 49, of Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Medicalodge of Nevada. He was born Aug. 19, 1961, in Kansas City, Mo., to Bill D. Scotten and Phyllis J. Raney Scotten. He married Angela Joy Fahnestock on Oct. 13, 2001, in Walker, Mo., and she survives of the home.

Billy grew up in the Kansas City, Mo., area. He attended the Raymore-Peculiar High School. He loved the outdoors, fishing, playing the drums and music. Billy's passion for many years was building saddles. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. He had lived in Vernon County for the past 20 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Angela, include two sons, Jayson Scotten and Joshua Scotten, both of Lwarence, Kan.; three stepchildren, Krista Jarvis, Milo, Mo., Eathan Jarvis and Trenton Jarvis, both of Nevada; five grandchildren; his parents, Bill and Phyllis Scotten, Walker; one sister, Sharon Wilson, Baxter Springs, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 26, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Berea Cemetery, Ketterman, Mo. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
