Donald L. Starr, son of Goldie Scifer and George Starr was born Sept. 8, 1920, in the Double Branch community. He passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at the Barone Alzheimer's Care Center, Nevada, after a short illness.

Don was a retired carpenter, farmer and school bus driver. He was united in marriage to Wilma Ratts. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends.

Don is survived by his loving wife Wilma of the home, Nevada; two children, Dianna Starr, Park City, Kan., and Michael Starr, Rich Hill, Mo.; one son-in-law, Hoyt Kyle, Ozark, Mo.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; one brother, Edward Starr and his wife, Addi, Independence, Mo.; one sister, Peggy Kuhlman and her husband, George, Moundville, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Theda Fraley; and daughter, Donna Jo Kyle.

The Rev. Bill Perkey conducted graveside services at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Rich Hill.

Funeral arrangements were made by Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill.
