Peggy Mae Wright, 61, Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 1, 1950, in Nevada, to Charles Vernon Wright and Marian Lucille Etters Wright.
Peggy grew up in Illinois and California. She graduated from Pioneer High School in San Jose, Calif., in 1968. Peggy worked for Atari Corporation in Sunnyvale, Calif., for 12 years and other electronic firms throughout her career until her retirement. She was a member of the Foxworthy Baptist Church in San Jose, Calif. She came to Nevada in 2003 to be near her father. Peggy financially supported and became personally involved with an American Indian girl, Lucinda, in Arizona, and was proud of her progress in school. She was able to visit her often. She loved dogs and leaves behind her beloved pet, Molly.
Survivors include her father, Charles Wright and his wife, Ruby Castlebury Wright, Sheldon, Mo.; one sister, Barbara Schwinn and her husband, Jeffrey, Stockton, Calif.; one brother, Paul Bernard Wright, Gilroy, Calif.; two nieces, Tamee Kreek and Leandra Yanagawa; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marian Wright, in December 1999.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 22, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Jim Wilson officiating. Interment followed in Olive Branch Cemetery, Milo, Mo.
