Pauline J. Crawford, 64, Nevada, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada. She was born Nov. 30, 1946, in Newburgh, N.Y., to Jack Decker Crose and Betty Jane White Crose. She was married to Franklin Theodore Crawford on Nov. 18, 1968, in Independence, Mo., who preceded her in death. She was later preceded in death by her companion, Larry Dean Morris, of 12 years, in 2003.

Pauline grew up in Independence and graduated from Raytown High School in 1964. She later graduated from beautician school in Kansas City, Mo., and was a beauty operator for Macy's Department Store in Kansas City for eight years. She also worked as a waitress for the Italian Gardens Restaurant in Kansas City for 15 years. Pauline has lived in Nevada for the past seven years and worked at the Bar-H-Boys Ranch as a cook and most recently for the Cedar Ridge State School in Nevada. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Independence, Mo.

Survivors include one son, Kevin Crawford, Nevada; one daughter, Kellie Crawford, Joplin, Mo.; three grandchildren, Krystal Gibson, Nevada, Kyle Crawford, Joplin, Mo., and Khristoper Crawford of the home, whom she has raised since age two; three great-grandchildren, Shania, Scott, and Lane; and her mother, Betty Crose, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 26, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Terry Mosher officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
