April 22

9 a.m.: An accident occurred at U.S. 54 and Business 71 highways when a trailer being pulled by an unknown driver broke free, striking an SUV driven by Rebecca M. Luelf, El Dorado Springs, Mo. No injuries were reported. Accident is still under investigation.

Elizabeth Clayton, Nevada, reported a theft from a motor vehicle in the 600 block of East Maple Street. Item stolen was a Toshiba laptop computer.

April 23

Joey Colin, Nevada, reported a petty theft in the 1000 block of North Clay Street. Item stolen was a Graco booster seat.

April 25

7:35 a.m.: An accident occurred at U.S. 54 Highway and Clay Street involving a car driven by Brenda K. Bruce, Nevada, and a car driven by Emily C. Cottle, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

3:05 p.m.: An accident occurred at Route W and Hickory Street when a pickup driven by Austin G. Huggins, Nevada, struck Anthony Bosch (pedestrian), Nevada.

5:45 p.m.: An accident occurred at Pitcher Street and Route BB involving a pickup driven by Debra M. Anderson, Nevada, and a car owned by Roger Swager, El Dorado Springs, Mo. No injuries were reported.

April 27

3:14 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 1605 Hedges Plaza (Gammon Car Wash) when an unknown vehicle struck a support pole on the north side of the business. Accident is still under investigation.

April 28

Trevor Reese, Nevada, reported a burglary in the 1400 block of North Cedar Street. Items stolen were: Miscellaneous cash, coins, tools and a Playstation 3 system.
