Jason Lee Thomas, 28, Nevada, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Richards, Mo. He was born Jan. 26, 1983, in Kansas City, Mo.
Jason grew up in El Dorado Springs and Walker, Mo. He graduated from Northeast Vernon County High School in 2002. Jason worked at various nursing homes and also the Nevada Habilitation Center. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children.
Survivors include his wife, Erika, Gallatin, Mo.; one son, Draysen Thomas, Gallatin, Mo.; one daughter, Bryleigh Thomas, also of Gallatin; his mother and stepfather, Florence Joanne Rosales and her husband, Robert, Walker, Mo.; his father and stepmother, Terry Thomas and his wife, Debbie, Schell City, Mo.; one brother, Mathew Thomas and his wife, Sherry, Nevada, Mo.; one half-brother, Terry Thomas Jr., Schell City, Mo.; one half-sister, Tasha Thomas, Montrose, Mo.; paternal grandfather, Hershel Thomas, Fort Scott, Kan.; his father-in-law, Phillip Steger, Cameron, Mo.; his mother-in-law, Martha Steger, Gallatin, Mo.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and two nieces, Leandra Thomas and Miranda Thomas. He was preceded in death by two stepbrothers, Robert Rosales Jr., and George Rosales.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dederick, Mo.
The family received friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, between 7 and 8 p.m.
