Robert Lee Bryan, 77, Nevada, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011, at his residence following an illness of 18 months. He was born April 30, 1934, in Nevada, to Lewis Robert Bryan and Ida Mae Darrow Bryan. He was married Dec. 24, 1987, in Southwest City, Mo., to Ruby Mae Montgomery and she survives of the home.

Mr. Bryan was born and reared in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in1953. He served in the U.S. Air Force following high school and then worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kan., for 37 1/2 years as a quality control specialist. He retired and moved back to Nevada in 1990 and spent the remainder of his life here. He was a member of the Walker, Schell City and Richards Masonic Lodges, the American Legion Post No. 2, and the Eagles Aerie No. 3770. He enjoyed his cattle and farming.

In addition to his spouse, Ruby, survivors include three daughters, Jessica Barrett, Joplin, Mo., Kelley Wheeler, Webb City, Mo., and Erin Sue (Bryan) Hance, Webb City, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Sharon Foreman, Walker, Mo., and Angie Simmons, Erie, Kan.; a number of grandchildren including, Shane Cyr, Leesha Cyr and Tom Cote; two nieces, Maxine Sutcliff, Nevada, and Barbara Moore, Nevada; brother-in-law, Vernon Montgomery, of the home; sister-in-law Jo Courchesne, of the home; Brandon and Heather Berning, also of the home; one nephew, Randy Boyd, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Lois Mae Boyd.

Funeral services will be held, with Masonic Rites, at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Dr. William Cox officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Moore Cemetery in Nevada.
