Layna Nicole Merle Edwards

Christopher and Shawnda Edwards of Schell City, Mo., and older brothers, Dayton and Ernest, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter and baby sister, Layna Nicole Merle Edwards.

Layna was born at 10:17 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces, and measured 19 and 1/2 inches.

Maternal grandparents are Ray Howell of Rich Hill, Mo., and Thomas and Jan Rowland of Harwood, Mo. Maternal great-grandparents are Harry and Betty Boyle of Milo, Mo., Kenneth and Kathy Skakal of El Dorado Springs, Mo., and the late Janice Skakal. Maternal great-great-grandparents are Ruby Skakal of El Dorado Springs, Mo., and Alden and Betty Sallee of El Dorado Springs, Mo.

Paternal grandparents are Steve Edwards of Milo, Mo., and Robert and Stephanie Newberry of Virgil City, Mo. Paternal great-grandparents are Rose Current of El Dorado Springs, Mo., and Ernest and Marge Turner of Milo, Mo. Paternal great-grandparent is Ronald Edwards of Kansas City, Mo.
