Zerilda J. McCaughey

Zerilda J. McCaughey, 71, of Poteau, Okla., passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Zerilda was born July 11, 1940, in Monticello, Mo., to Emmett Hayden and Clara May (Porter) Crain. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl McCaughey; daughter, Tina L. Murray; and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her stepdaughter, Deana Kay Cottle of Kingman, Ariz.; four grandsons, Sam Murray, Patrick Murray, Brock Cottle and Garrett Cottle; two granddaughters, Fawn Higgins and Chesnee Cottle; brother, Lloyd Crain; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and loved ones; and many beloved friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m., today, Jan. 24, graveside at Virgil City Cemetery, Virgil City, Mo.
