Middle school teams earn wins over El Dorado Springs

The Nevada Middle School's eighth grade "A" boys basketball team defeated archrival El Dorado Springs 27-17 on Tuesday night. Chaden Brandt and Levi Palmer paced the Tigers with eight points apiece.

On Monday, the eighth grade A team lost to Lamar 36-22. Palmer scored seven points. The B team lost to Lamar, as the hosts won 24-17.

Seventh wins, too

Nevada's seventh grade "A" boys basketball team defeated El Dorado Springs 41-23.

Matt Sommer scored 16 points to lead Nevada and Tyler Ketterman added 11 points. With the win, Nevada is now 7-1.

Nevada plays tonight at the community center against Joplin East at 5:30 p.m.
