March 16

There was a report of theft in the 800 block of South Ash Street. Item stolen was a Apple 3GS Iphone.

There was a report of property damage in the 800 block of South Chestnut Street. The mailbox was damaged.

There was a report of theft in the 900 block of North Missouri Street. Item stolen was a wedding ring.

March 17

10:29 a.m.: An accident occurred at Main and Cherry streets involving a car driven by Marion F. Jackson, Nevada, and a van driven by Larry D. Comes, Appleton City, Mo. No injuries were reported.

11:50 a.m.: An accident occurred at Route W and Ashland Street involving a pickup driven by Judity A. Ayers, Lamar, Mo., and a pickup driven by Russel W. Fanning, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

There was a report of theft in the 500 block of North Oak Street. Item stolen was a Samsung cell phone.

March 18

There was a report of property damage in the 100 block of West Grand Street. A front window of the residence was broken.

There was a report of tampering with a motor vehicle in the 1200 block of N. Elm Street. Black 1992 Chevy suburban was reported stolen. The Vernon County Sheriff's Office recovered the vehicle in the county.

There was a report of tampering with a motor vehicle in the 1200 block of E. Nicholson Street. Item stolen were a Yamaha special edition 4-wheeler and a Suzuki dirt bike.
