April 6

There was a report of property damage in the 2500 block of East Austin Boulevard. A door lock on an F-350 was damaged.

There was a report of second degree burglary in the 400 block of West Cherry Street. The shed door was damaged.

There was a report of a petty theft in the 100 block of West Hunter Street. Items stolen were a Spongebob backpack and an LG cell phone that were left unattended in the yard.

There was a report of tampering with a motor vehicle in the 2100 block of East Austin Boulevard. The door lock and ignition on a F-250 was damaged.

Three vehicles which were locked in a parking lot were tampered with, and one vehicle was tampered with in a hotel lot. Suspects were taken into custody by Barton County after a pursuit. A follow-up investigation by Nevada detectives continues.

9:38 a.m.: An accident occurred at 402 W. Austin Blvd. involving an SUV driven by Donna M. Lamb, Fort Scott, Kan., and an SUV owned by Bonnie L. Franklin, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

4:06 p.m.: An accident occurred at Washington and Cherry streets involving a car driven by Thomara M. White-Briscoe, Sheldon, Mo., and a car driven by Lana J. Kurt, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

2:06 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident occurred at U.S. 71 North Highway and Highland Avenue when an SUV driven by Chelsea S. Abney, Tulsa, Okla., swerved to miss another vehicle that cut her off. Abney's vehicle traveled off the roadway and overturned. No injuries were reported.

April 7

There was a report of property damage in the 2200 block of East Lincoln Avenue. Drivers side window was broken on a vehicle in the business parking lot.

There was a report of property damage in the 800 block of North Main Street. A tire was cut on a vehicle parked on the street.

8:58 p.m.: An accident occurred at U.S. 71 North Highway and U.S. 54 Highway when a car driven by Joshua S. Adams, Independence, Mo., struck a deer. No injuries were reported.

April 8

A vehicular theft occurred on South Ridge Road. Police on patrol discovered a shed burglary and one golf cart stolen by suspects who drove the cart in the area. Supsects fled into a wooded area and escaped after an area search.

A theft occurred in the 1400 block of West Austin Boulevard. Item stolen was a black Huffy bicycle with flames stolen from a business parking lot. Another bike was left at the scene by suspects.

April 9

There was a report of property damage in the 1200 block of West Willow Circle. The phone line was cut.

There was a report of a burglary in the 1400 block of East Cherry Street. Items stolen were: A Panasonic 34-inch flat screen TV, Samsung 42-inch flat screen TV, a Playstation 3 with wireless controllers and one Wii game.

There was a report of property damage in the 700 block of South Alma Street. It was reported that sometime over the weekend, the side of the building had been damaged.
