Thank you to everyone who helped

Dear Editor:

The Bushwhacker Quilt Guild would just like to say a huge thanks to everyone at the Franklin P. Norman City/County Community Center for all of the help that they provided during the Bushwhacker Quilt Show during Bushwhacker Days.

Patrick set up tables and chairs and Phil got out more tables and chairs when we needed them. Lanetta came in early on Saturday to open the doors for us and no matter what we asked for or needed, someone was there to help!

Another huge thanks goes out to the LOL and Renaissance students that helped set up and tear down the quilt racks. You will never know how grateful we are to you for the help. Thank you to all of the 200+ people that came to see the quilts and to all of those that brought quilts to display and for the bed turning.

The Opportunity Quilt, "Dazzling Stars," was won by Janis Toliver! Viewer's Choice awards went to Sharon McGinnis, Pat Schwartz, and Linda Wilson. Challenge Quilt winners were Linda Emery, Sandra Horvath and Becky Bruce. Congratulations ladies!

A special thanks to Charlotte Baxter for being our featured quilter this year. Charlotte had the first quilt that she ever made in the show and it was fun to see how she has become a more accomplished quilter over the years!

New members are always welcome at the Bushwhacker Quilt Guild. Our regular meeting night is the second Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Moore-Few Community room.
