Jeannie Francis, 78, Nevada, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada, following a lengthy illness. She was born Aug. 16, 1933, in Nevada, to Clifford D. Scotten and Murl E. Hartline Scotten. Jeannie was married to Bennie Eugene Pritchett on Nov. 12, 1950, in Eureka Springs, Ark., and he preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1994. She later married Howard Francis on July 2, 1997, in Miami, Okla., and he survives of Nevada.

Jeannie was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1951. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Lodge No. 2175. Jeannie and Bennie were founding members of the Nevada Eagles Lodge No. 3770. Jeannie was the charter president of the Eagles Women's Auxiliary. She owned and operated and cooked for Bennie's Bar-BQ with her husband for a number of years.

Survivors include her husband, Howard, Nevada; one son, Scotty Pritchett and his wife, Patty, Nevada; one daughter, Sandy Norcross and her husband, David, Nevada; grandchildren, Scott Pritchett and his wife, Brandy, Travis Pritchett and Karen Lamb, Mindy Zoglmann and her husband, Jeremy, Traci (Loyd) Jones and her husband, Chad, Justin Meyer and his wife, Rebecca, and Jesse Meyer and his wife, Aimee; great-grandchildren, Emma Pritchett, Justin Culbertson, Garrett Culbertson, Morgan Garren, Jacob Pritchett, Baylor Pritchett, Taylor Zoglmann, Weston Zoglmann, Trayce Loyd, Josie Loyd, Clayton Loyd, Judd Loyd, Gavin Meyer, Jude Meyer, and Sutton Meyer; siblings, Debbie Metcalf and her husband, Mike, Nevada, Donna Sheets and her husband, Mike, Nevada, C.D. Scotten and his wife, JoAnn, Nevada, Shirley Lathrop Floyd, Strafford, Mo., LaVerne Scotten, Nevada, and Kay Scotten, Nevada; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bennie Pritchett; and one daughter, Janice Pritchett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 27, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.

All friends and family are invited to the Nevada Eagles Lodge for a meal at noon, following the service.
