Joseph Emill Cole, 54, Nevada, passed away suddenly Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, in Nevada as the result of an accident. He was born Feb. 17, 1958, in Iola, Kan., to Clarence Lee Cole and LaVina Mae Quathamer Cole.

Joseph was reared in the Iola and LaHarpe, Kan., area and attended school there. He lived in Nevada for the past four years and attended Life Church in Nevada.

Survivors include three children, Tabetha Mason and her husband, Jerry, Fort Scott, Kan., Travis Cole and his wife, Erin, Nevada, and Jacob Cole, also of Nevada; three grandchildren, Jordon Cole, McKenzie Cole, and Jonathan Cole, all of Nevada: one brother, Carl Lee Cole and his wife, Pat, Iola, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Shawn Cole; and one granddaughter, Jaidin.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Life Church in Nevada, with the Rev. Lawrence Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery in Nevada.

Friends may call now and until 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.

The family will receive friends at the Life Church in Nevada between 1 and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, prior to the funeral service.
