D. Marlene Breiner

Donna Marlene Breiner, 78, Gladstone, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at KC Hospice House. She was born Nov. 19, 1934, in Rich Hill, Mo., to Elijah Butler and Wilma Smith. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Roy O. Breiner, of Butler, who preceded her in death in 2007.

Marlene grew up in Rich Hill and Nevada, Mo. She graduated from Nevada High School. She had a long career with AT&T. She retired in 1995 as a supervisor.

She is survived by two children, Chris Breiner and wife, Trish, of Gladstone, Mo., and Gena Phillips and husband, Jeff, of Overland Park, Kan.; three grandchildren, Connor and Ryan Phillips and Brandon Breiner; and one sister, Virginia Moore of Nevada, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to KC Hospice House at 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Mo., 64145. Marlene's funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 14, at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Chapel with visitation preceding the services, noon to 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery.
