National Day of Prayer to be observed at courthouse Thursday

The National Day of Prayer will be observed during a ceremony from noon to 12:45 p.m. on the south lawn of the Vernon County Courthouse in Nevada.

The observance will include public prayers by several area minister, pastors and preachers.

Opening remarks will be by Dan Gayman of Watch-man Outreach Ministries.

The Rev. Chad Bailey will lead the group in singing the "The Star Spangled Banner," My Country Tis of Thee," and Doxology.

The Rev. Mike Satterlee will lead the group in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
