Page L. Fletchall, 91, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. He was born Feb. 3, 1922, in Sabetha, Kan., to Floyd Leander Fletchall and Mildred Pearl Zug Fletchall. He married Virginia E. Saathoff on May 6, 1944, in Norman, Okla., and she survives of the home.

Page was born in Sabetha, Kan., and raised in Oketa, Kan. He graduated from Honey Creek High School in Honey Creek, Neb. Page moved to Nevada in 1940 with his aunt and uncle, Pearl and Hank Page, who raised him. Following his high school years from 1941-45, Page served our country in the United States Navy during World War II as an aircraft mechanic. He also served in the U.S. Naval Reserves from 1945-51.

Upon being called into active duty once again, he was stationed on the USS Essex from 1951-52, during the Korean Conflict. Upon his returning to Nevada in 1952, where he had earlier worked for Sears, he again resumed his employment there for another 20 years before retiring in 1972.

Page then worked for Guthrie Motors, John Deere, and served as Southern District Commissioner for Vernon County from 1980-90. He also raised cattle for many years. During retirement, he and Virginia enjoyed camping and fishing at Stockton Lake. Page was a member of the First Baptist Church for more than 60 years. He was also a lifetime member of the Nevada BPO Elks No. 564.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia; one son, Ed Fletchall and his wife, Connie; one daughter, Judy Gast and her husband, Howard, all of Nevada; grandchildren, Matt Fletchall, Nevada, Monica Fletchall, Springfield, Mo., Jennifer Willits and her husband, Titus, Wichita, Kan., Bryan Gast, Nevada, and Becky Hoselton and her husband, Tony, Nevada; great-grandchildren, Blake Hoselton, McKayla Hoselton, Alex Gast, Brayden Gast, Hadley Fletchall, Ty Willits, and Paige Willits; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandson, Brett Hoselton; and one brother, Leroy Fletchall.

Funeral services will be held at Ferry Funeral Home at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14, with the Revs. Bill Cox and Hubert Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home.
